Located in Fulton County, Ohio, Swancreek Township is one of the twelve townships that make up this vibrant county. In the 2010 census, our township boasted a population of 8,566 residents. Within this number, 6,013 individuals chose to make their homes in the unincorporated areas of Swancreek Township. Swancreek Township is home to significant portions of both the village of Swanton and the village of Delta, adding to the richness and diversity of our community.

Spring Cleanup Event – For Swancreek Township Residents Only
Swancreek Township invites residents to participate in the annual Spring Cleanup Event—a dedicated opportunity to dispose of large, unwanted household items and support a cleaner community environment.
Dates: Thursday, May 1 – Sunday, May 4, 2025 Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Swancreek Township Building, 5565 County Road D, Delta, Ohio
Requirements:
Resident Verification: Please bring a valid photo ID or driver’s license to confirm residency.
Item Limit: To ensure equal access for all residents, a reasonable limit on the number of items per household will be enforced.
Accepted Items Include:
- Household appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators (freon must be properly removed and tagged)
- Furniture and televisions
- Scrap metal and car batteries
Items Not Accepted:
- Tires and paint cans
- Household batteries and deceased animals
- Hazardous waste or materials from construction sites
Please Note:
- Senior pickup services are no longer available. However, the event has been extended over four days to help accommodate transportation challenges.
- This is a public service event. No revenue is generated by the Township from this program.

Upcoming Road Closures – Advance Notice
We want to provide advance notice of upcoming road closures due to scheduled railroad maintenance work beginning Monday, April 28. While we have not yet received confirmation regarding the exact closure sequence or starting points, we’ve been informed that work is expected to impact multiple crossings within Swancreek Township.
The following roads, located between Road H and Airport Highway, will be affected:
- Road 2-2
- Road 4
- Road 5-2
These closures are necessary to complete important railroad safety and infrastructure improvements. As soon as more detailed information becomes available—such as the specific closure order or reopening dates—we will provide updates via our website and social media channels.
