SWANCREEK TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES
Swancreek Township is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees committed to serving the community with transparency, accountability, and responsiveness. The board consists of three elected trustees, each serving staggered four-year terms to ensure consistent leadership and oversight. Trustees play a critical role in managing township policies, budget allocations, public services, infrastructure improvements, and community initiatives.
How Trustees Are Elected
Trustee elections take place in November of odd-numbered years:
- Two trustees are elected the year after a presidential election.
- One trustee is elected the year before a presidential election.
- Each term begins on January 1 following the election.
In addition to the trustees, Swancreek Township also elects a Fiscal Officer who serves a four-year term beginning April 1 of the year following their election. Any vacancies within the board or fiscal officership are filled by the remaining trustees.
